Abstract | |||
This is a multidisciplinary etiologic study targeting families at increased risk of testicular cancer. The goals of this study include: 1) define the clinical phenotype of familial testicular cancer 2) map and clone hereditary testicular cancer susceptibility genes 3) determine if cancers other than testicular cancer are part of the familial testicular cancer syndrome 4) determine if the pathology of familiar testicular cancer differs from that of non-familial testicular cancer We are creating a familial testicular cancer research program to evaluate clinical, genetic, epidemiologic, behavioral and laboratory features of this hereditary disorder. We are collaborating with the International Testicular Cancer Linkage Consortium in efforts to map and clone herediatry testicular cancer susceptibility genes. |
